Christmas 2009

A few highlights from our Christmas . . .

Josh helping roll out the dough for cinnamon rolls.

Christmas dinner

Our set-up . . . in light of our adoption, giving sacrificially to that, and wanting to put a better emphasis on our adoption in Christ, our Christmas was a little different this year. We have so much to be thankful for and had a wonderful Christmas as a family!
I don't know if you can tell in this pic, but our star on top of our tree has an ornament on top - a beaded star with all of the colors of the Ethiopian flag! It was made by another family trying to raise the money for their adoption expenses.

The boys loved the matching Ethiopia t-shirts they got!

The girls loved their "Ethiopian" baby dolls and their beaded bracelets with the colors of the Ethiopian flag - made by the same family that made our star ornament.

Very excited to have gotten new darts for the nerf gun from Joey!

. . . and the penguin he'd been wanting from Gracie!

I think he's opening the gift Gracie got him here . . . I just love Gracie's face in this one! Ha!

Josh getting his stocking.

Josh as Superman - he kept taking flying leaps off the couch!

Before the Christmas festivities began on Christmas morning at Papaw & Grandma's house.

The girls all waiting patiently to open their gifts from Papaw & Grandma . . . American Girl Dolls!

Joey getting a little help from Papaw opening his new baseball glove . . . love his face in this one :o)

Josh's favorite toy and gift - legos! And of course, it doesn't get any better than Diego!
